After the pre-writing stage is over, it is now time to dive into the writing process. To be able to write a good essay, you must be free of distractions and have a clear, open mind. The writing process may be the most time consuming step but it is by far the most important. REMEMBER: Never use the words "You" or "Your" in an essay unless they are in quotes. A good essay always starts with a great hook, thesis, and plan of development all in the first paragraph. Also, your voice should be used throughout most types of essays. After the intro paragraph is written, the 3 supporting paragraphs can be written. Each supporting paragraph should have a transition sentence and it should support the plan of development. Also, third level development and great detail of your topic should be included. After all 3 supporting paragraphs are written, you should write a conclusion. The conclusion should restate the thesis, plan of development, and leave the reader with your final thought on your subject. Then it is time for revision and editing.
